How can I be successful with FastForward?

Workforce and career training can be a big leap. FastForward training is offered at your local community college, which means going back to school to do some book work and being tested through hands-on skills demonstrations.

Your instructors and career coaches will help you every step of the way, from finding the right courses to helping cover as much out-of-pocket costs as possible through several financial assistance options to working with you when life presents hoops for you to jump through.

Paying for FastForward

FastForward is one of the most affordable options for career training in Virginia. Our program is supported by the Commonwealth of Virginia, offsetting the price you pay from your own pocket.

Thinking like a student

When people come through a FastForward training program, their instructors are more like mentors. Many are veterans of the field. Our instructors don’t just memorize lesson plans – they’ve had a full career in the field they’re teaching. You’ll come to the classroom to learn from a book, but you’ll also be using your hands and learning new skills that will lead to an in-demand career.
